Leading Nigerian firm inks deal with Brunei company

CRESCENT Sdn Bhd has expanded its business operations to reach Nigeria after officially signing with ABG Multimedia Services, to provide its Online Professional Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance course in the country.

In September last year, the United States Embassy selected 25 entrepreneurs globally from various Muslim countries to participate in the Obama initiative; which was to provide a platform for the Muslim entrepreneurs to learn about the United States of America, its people and business community. It was there that Hajah Salma Latiff, Managing Director and Founder of Crescent Sdn Bhd, met Dr Musa Bawa Garba, Managing Director of ABG Multimedia Services Limited. “We very quickly recognised the market potential of Crescent’s product in Nigeria and we started to work on the launching of Crescent’s home grown product in Nigeria,” she said yesterday at the signing.

ABG Group Plans Trailer Assembly Plant In Kaduna, Nigeria

A N10 Billion Trailer Assembly Plant will soon be established in Kaduna State, courtesy of ABG Group of Nigeria and their technical partner, BMC of Turkey. The Group’s Chairman, Dr. Bawa Garba, made the disclosure when he led a delegation of investors from Turkey to see the Minister of State for Trade and Investment, Chief Samuel Ortom.

Federal Government Appoves Joint Venture For NIPOST E-Mail

As part of efforts to enable the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) take advantage of global changes in communications, the Nigerian government has approved the establishment of a joint venture between NIPOST and two private firms Development Venture International (DVI) Inc, of USA and ABG Group of Nigeria. Tagged NETPOST Nigeria Limited, the venture is expected to facilitate the delivery of electronic mail and other related services in Nigeria. The project which is billed to take off in thirteen centers across the country will use VSAT technology. Each of the partners is expected to contribute an initial share capital of N100 million at a ratio of 40% from NIPOST, 35% from DVI and 25% from ABG Group.
